Become a sponsor of the Amigos to support these annual events:
Turquoise Trail Pack Burro Race along with Amigos events
Burros with their human racers assemble in the village then race up to the park to trek the trails. Meanwhile, visitors wander over to the Visitor Center plaza where Amigos offers many things to see, do, and eat while waiting for racers to return to the finish line.
- Art in the Park - shop from innovative works from local artists.
- Bake Sale – culinary offerings from Amigos members include baked snacks and lunch items.
- Music from local professionals
- Lunch - grilled hot dogs, watermelon, and more.
- A place to rest under the shade of a large tent structure
- Corn hole game with prizes
- A “cool room” in the Visitor Center to beat the heat
Fiesta de Cerrillos
Amigos hosts activities on the Visitor Center Plaza in partnership with the Village of Cerrillos and its Fiesta de Cerrillos celebration.
- Lunch! Grilled hot dogs, watermelon, and more.
- Music from local professionals
- Educational exhibits from local associations - Sheriff’s Office, San Marcos Association, LongEars Safehouse, and others, including handouts and giveaways.
- Corn hole game with prizes
- A place to rest under the shade of a large tent structure
- A “cool room” in the Visitor Center to beat the heat
Support Park Amenities
Funds from Amigos provided benches on trails, a picnic area in the park, tables and sitting areas on the Visitor Center plaza, and more.
Support Park Educational Events and Activities
Volunteer workers and funding from Amigos provide support for events throughout the year. Funding supports shade tents at events, professional speakers, demonstrations, and supplies.
