Size: 8" - Starling
Glossy green-purple; bill yellow. Winter: black, heavy speckled white; bill dark; wings, short, pointed, rusty-edged; legs dull red; tail square.
Usually in flocks.
Detrimental (takes over nest holes, birdhouses, eats wild fruit, feeder suet).
Song whistles, squeaks, chuckles; mimics.
