Black-chinned Hummingbird - confirmed presence

Archilochus alexandri

Size: 3.5" - Hummingbird

Male: green above and on sides; chest crescent and mid belly stripe white; throat patch black above, violet below; tail black, notched.

Female: green above; throat and underparts white; tail green with white corners.

Size: 4" - Hummingbird

Male (pictured): green above and on sides; chest and mid belly white; throat red; tail black, wide, notched.

Female: sides buffy; tail square with white corners.

Male: wings loud, shrill whirr in flight.
