Even on less steep terrain the trail can easily degrade. It has been over a year
since the last heavy rain -- an infrequent but inevitable occurance in New Mexico
-- but when it happens this section of trail will be heavily impacted. The areas
in urgent need of remediation are being yellow-flagged.
